MBB In Collaboration with JA and the MCAST Institute of Business Management and Commerce LAUNCHES the Mini Business Incubators and Competition

Tuesday, 3 November – The Malta Business Bureau (MBB), as part of the Erasmus+ funded INNO-ANTIDOTE project, has partnered with JA Malta and the MCAST Institute of Business Management and Commerce (IBMC) to empower Mediterranean youth in tackling critical environmental challenges.

Through this collaboration, second- and third-year MCAST students reading for their BA in Business Enterprise and BSc in Financial Services can complete a short online course, take part in a mentored bootcamp, and present their concepts in a business pitching competition. The initiative aims to generate innovative solutions addressing air, sea, and land sustainability. The competition will take place during the Malta Skills Championships 2026 on 11 and 12 November, led by the National Skills Council in collaboration with MCAST and ITS.

Designed for young adults aged 18 to 26, the programme equips participants with essential tools to foster green entrepreneurship and advance the circular economy. Young innovators will receive guidance and mentorship to transform their concepts into viable businesses, drawing on educational resources developed by the INNO-ANTIDOTE project consortium.

Following the launch of the first online session, one winner from each sustainability track (Land, Air and Water) will represent Malta at the international final in Patras, Greece, in 2027, competing against peers from five partner countries.

These efforts align with the European Union’s goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050 and underscore the importance of youth-driven innovation in addressing urgent environmental and economic challenges.

INNO-ANTIDOTE is a collaborative initiative, implemented by Cosvitec Sarl (Italy – Lead), Malta Business Bureau, Strategic Omnia Research and Technology Development Ltd (Cyprus), VogalOrizontal (Portugal), Liofyllo Social Cooperative Enterprise (Greece), and the Association for the Promotion of Sustainable Initiatives and Competences (Spain).
