EcoSMEnergy – Energy Efficiency Training – 17 June 2026
On 17 June 2026, the Malta Business Bureau, as part of the EcoSMEnergy project and in collaboration with industry experts from Altern Limited, organised a full-day training session for local manufacturing companies focusing on energy efficiency and energy management. The session brought together 24 representatives from the manufacturing sector to gain practical knowledge and insights on improving energy performance within their operations.
The training was based on the Voluntary Code of Conduct, a set of guidelines designed to support manufacturing companies in their energy efficiency journey. This framework provided participants with a structured approach for understanding and applying key energy management principles in a practical business context.
Participants engaged in interactive discussions and hands-on workshops, while also receiving expert guidance on implementing effective energy management practices within their organisations. The training provided valuable tools and strategies to help businesses identify energy-saving opportunities, improve resource efficiency, and support continuous improvement in energy performance.
Feedback from participants was highly positive, particularly regarding the clarity and relevance of the training materials, as well as their applicability to day-to-day operations. Attendees highlighted that the knowledge gained will directly contribute to strengthening their internal energy management practices going forward.
The Malta Business Bureau will be organising another training session later this year to further engage manufacturing companies and support their efforts to improve energy efficiency.
Through the EcoSMEnergy project, MBB aims to provide ongoing guidance and support to help manufacturing businesses reduce energy consumption and operational costs, while also identifying areas for improvement and available financial assistance opportunities to facilitate the implementation of energy efficiency measures.
