Position: EU Policy Executive
The Malta Business Bureau is seeking to recruit an Executive to liaise with businesses through two-way communication on EU Policy, and coordinate relevant feedback. The EU Policy Executive will be reporting to the CEO and assisting the MBB’s policy team based in Brussels.
The post is for a full-time, 12 month contract, depending upon the fluctuating commitments of the Malta Business Bureau’s policy work during the Malta’s Presidency of the Council of the EU. The position is based in Malta.
The applicant must possess the following:
a recognized University degree (NQF Level 6 qualification), preferably in European Studies
good presentation skills, public speaking and proficient writing skills in English, as well as an outgoing, professional and meticulous personality. Knowledge of Maltese would be considered to be an asset
organised, able to multitask and work under minimum supervision
be proficient in EU affairs and inter-institutional dynamics
experience in policy coordination and communications will be considered an asset
Functions and Responsibilities
a) To analyse and communicate EU Policy developments
b) To coordinate consultations, gather feedback and draft reports / position papers for the MBB’s policy team in Brussels
c) To coordinate relevant tasks on behalf of the MBB related to the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) work programme in Malta
d) To liaise with the MBB’s parent organisations, the Malta Chamber and the MHRA as required
e) To provide advisory support on ad hoc requests by the Maltese businesses on EU policy issues
f) Support in the organisation of events such as conferences, seminars, and information sessions
g) Represent the MBB in conferences, seminars or meetings whenever required
