Do you sell goods or services on online platforms such as Google Play, Amazon, Facebook or Booking.comDoes your online business experience difficulties in meeting the terms and conditions set up by online platforms? Or with regards to the ranking systems used by online platforms?

The Malta Business Bureau and the European Parliament Information Office are organising a public discussion on the European Commission proposal for a Regulation on fairness and transparency for business users of online intermediation services.

The aim of this event is to exchange views on the measures being proposed together with stakeholders, and MEP Francis Zammit Dimech as the Rapporteur for the European Parliament’s JURI Committee. Such measures include, for instance, requirements for online platforms to clearly present their terms of use and to explain their search results’ ranking parameters and algorithms.

The event will serve as an opportunity for participants to contribute to the drafting of amendments included in the Committee’s Opinion on the proposal.

A reception will follow.
