Four years ago, the Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association (MHRA), spearheaded the first Mediterranean Tourism Forum with the aim to start bringing together public and private sector stakeholders with an interest in tourism across the Mediterranean region. The success was immediate and in the last edition of the forum, held in December 2015, over 1000 delegates participated from 18 different countries.
The next Mediterranean Tourism Forum will be held between 16th and 17th March 2017 at Hilton Malta, and the chosen theme will be HOT – Hospitality of Tomorrow, thus emphasising the potential of tourism in generating employment, economic growth and stability in the Mediterranean region. This year’s chosen theme is in line with UNWTO’s belief that tourism is a great opportunity to sustainably grow further our economies whilst creating the right foundations for peace and stability in the region.
MBB, represented by MBB Executives Marija Elena Borg and Ana Vella, will be attending the forum and will be having a promotional stand to give advice about the services offered by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and to inform on any EU funding opportunities. Feel free to join us!
More information about the event will be out soon.
